Johannesburg Mayor Dada Morero says he is not afraid of the planned motion of no confidence against him by the DA, as it is motivated by a fear of progress. This follows his establishment of the City's Bomb Squad last week. The unit comprises of individuals with different skills, tasked with guiding the city from the decay to world class in the next two years. Meanwhile, Federal Council Chairperson, Helen Zille says her mind is not made up yet as to whether she'll consider putting her name in the hat to run for Johannesburg mayor. The Democratic Alliance in the city of Johannesburg will soon table a motion of no confidence against Johannesburg Mayor, Dada Morero. At the heart of its dissatisfaction is the lawfulness of the establishment of the city's BOMB SQUAD. The unit is tasked with dealing with service delivery challenges and backlogs, lawlessness, hijacked buildings and turning around the city's financial woes. Meamnwhile the man at the helm is Snuki Zikalala, the ANC's Veterans League President who Morero has described as passionate about turning the City. Other members include; Professor Busani Ngcaweni, who once served as a deputy Director General in the Presidency, the EFFs Dr. Gumani Tshimomola and Mavela Dlamini, who once served as a city manager. Morero says he consulted with all parties and extended an invitation for them to join the unit. Amidst all of this, the DA now has its eyes set on Johannesburg. The DA's Federal Council Chair Helen Zille may consider running for the top job in the city, citing that Johannesburg needs to be re-instated to its former glory and fast.
