Finance Minister, Enoch Godongwana, has presented a national budget focused firmly on restoring the country's fiscal health. Godongwana delivered the 2026 budget in Parliament in Cape Town on Wednesday (25/02/2026). Minister Godongwana told Members of Parliament that government remains committed to stabilising debt, narrowing the budget deficit and rebuilding credibility after years of financial strain. Analysts have also welcomed the national budget's strong focus on protecting South Africa's financial system from crime.
