INTRO: The South African government must continue holding trade talks with the United Sates of America to mitigate the impact of the 30 percent tarrifs imposed by the US. This is the view of some of the members of Parliament from different political parties, who serve on the Portfolio Committee on Trade, Industry and Competition. South Africa faces the highest tarrifs in sub-Saharan Africa -- which some see as a reflection of a strained relationship between the two countries. Other African nations, including Nigeria, Ghana, Lesotho and Zimbabwe were hit with a 15 percent tariff. Abongwe Kobokana compiled and Euphine Mabunda reports....
