The DA has called for the NERSA Board to be investigated by the Public Protector, a forensic audit of their calculations, and a complete overhaul of the regulatory environment. They criticize NERSA for failure to address the errors, their court defeats, and their role in approving municipal tariffs without proper studies. The DA also urges immediate reconstitution of the NERSA board, independent audits, unbundling Eskom, and strict consequence management for those responsible.
