Yesterday, Trade unions in the PSCBC affiliated with FEDUSA and SAPU held a media briefing to address the ongoing increases in medical aid contributions imposed by the Government Employees Medical Scheme. The unions reaffirm their rejection of the above 9% medical aid contribution increase implemented by GEMS. This coordinated effort also informed members about the planned programme of action to counter the implementation, including a march to GEMS on 21 February 2026 to engage with the MPSA and Minister of Finance.
