The University of Venda says the death of four students, two of them as a result of suicide, was a wake-up call that got the attention of the university management that students need psycho-social support. Hlayiseka Mabunda spoke to UNIVEN spokesperson Dr Takalani Dzaga who said the core mandate of the university is to look after the students' wellbeing and success, which is why the institution has intervention measures when it comes to mental health issues which include their annual prayer day.
