General Sibiya is at the centre of corruption allegations at the Madlanga Commission for his alleged close links to members of the criminal cartel. He has also been accused of aiding the disbandment of the PKTT for ulterior motives. The suspended Deputy National Police Commissioner testified about the disbandment of the PKTT and the 121 dockets and the kidnapping of Pretoria Businessman Jerry Boshoga.
