Mpumalanga Community Safety, Security and Liaison MEC, Jackie Macie, has expressed concern over the ongoing violent crimes reported in certain parts of the province. This despite the province recording a four-point-five per cent decrease in overall crime statistics for the fourth quarter of 2025/2026 that were released in Mbombela. The MEC says the Bushbuckridge area remains their core concern following the recent spate of gun-related crimes.
