The Lebombo border post linking Mozambique and South Africa remains closed following the spilling over of violent protest into the Ressano Garcia area which is on the Mozambican side of the border. The Commissioner of the Border Management Authority, Michael Masiapato, says the decision to close the border followed the burning of buildings and the vehicles of Mozambican order officials.
