INTRO:
Businesses and hawkers in Giyani, Limpopo, say heavy rainfall has disrupted their businesses. Hundreds of informal traders in Giyani rely on daily trade to support their families. Several parts of the province have been experiencing persistent downpours over the past few days, forcing informal traders off the streets. The South African Weather Service has issued a level 9 warning, with severe flooding expected in areas, including Tzaneen, Giyani, Phalaborwa and Thohoyandou. Locals are advised to be cautious when they are outdoors.
To hear more on how the rains have affected businesses, we are on air joined by Mr Rex Dlamini, President of Mangombe Chamber of Commerce and Industry. ........
