INTRO: Police in Mpumalanga have expressed concern about the recent killings of police officers in the province. This follows the killing of two police officers in separate incidents in a space of two weeks. The first incident was that of the fatal shooting of Constable Khulani Shabangu, during a robbery incident at a salon in Lillydale, Bushbuckridge, two weeks ago. The recent incident was another fatal shooting of 34-year-old Constable Donald Mathebula in Pienaar last Friday. Meanwhile, police in Calcutta made a breakthrough and arrested a 25-year-old man, in connection with the murder of Constable Shabangu, who has since appeared in court.
