INTRO: A Limpopo woman has raised concerns over what she refers to as the poor state of sports development in rural areas. She is calling on the Sport, Arts and Culture department to urgently intervene in addressing the lack of infrastructure, funding and empowerment of women involved in community sport. Ntsako Maluleke, a woman from Dumela village west of Malamulele, is among the few women leading efforts to develop sport in rural communities. However, she says she has been forced to relocate the academy to Gauteng due to the lack of proper facilities and limited financial support in her area.
