There was a stand-off between residents of Meadowlands in Soweto and taxi associations over the blockading of roads in the area. This as the residents resume their protest actions today on Thursday (12/06/2025. They are using burning tyres and rocks to barricade roads. The protest is related to the poor delivery of basic services, particularly continuing power outages.
