The Democratic Alliance has issued a 48 hour ultimatum to the ANC, following what it calls the unjust firing of its member, Andrew Whitfield-as the Deputy Minister of Trade, Industry, and Competition. Whitfiled's removal was announced by the Presidency earlier today. DA leader, John Steenhuisen, took to the podium during the Division of Revenue Bill debate calling the move, a calculated political assault on the party.  The party has issued President Cyril Ramaphosa with an ultimatum, to fire all ANC Ministers and Deputy Ministers in his cabinet implicated in corruption scandals, within the next two days. Steenhuisen says he was not even given a heads up. He suggested that Whitfield's refusal to make certain appointments, which he found suspicious, was the reason for the firing, describing Ramaphosa's actions, as a sign that he hold DA MP's, to a different standard to the ANC
