INTRO: The African People's Convention (APC) joins the country in mourning the passing away of Congress of the People leader Mr. Mosioua Lekota after battling with illness.Mr. Lekota started out as a student activist in the South African Student Organisation (SASO). He was arrested together with other activists like Phandelani Nefholovodwe, Muntu Muyeza, Strinley Moodley etc during the 1975 "Viva Frelimo" rallies. Lekota served time on Robben Island. He continued his activism in the 1980s in the UDF till the 1994 democratic dispensation. He has served as the Premier of Free State, Chairperson of the NCOP and also as Minister of Defence.

INTRO: Heavy rains have caused serious damage to infrastructure in parts of Ba-Phalaborwa after the Selwane Bridge has collapsed. The bridge connects motorists travelling between Giyani and ba-phalaborwa, now the motorists are bound to use other routes. The damage has disrupted movement in the area as communities continue to face flooding challenges.

FOCUS: MADLANGA COMMISSION WILL ON MONDAY RULE ON SULLIMAN CARRIM'S REQUEST TO TESTIFY IN CAMERA 

INTRO: The Madlanga Commission will rule on Monday if an application brought by North-West businessman Sulliman Carrim to have his testimony heard in a closed session. Carrim brought an application before the Commission on Friday requesting that his testimony be heard in camera citing threats to his life. He is scheduled to give evidence on Monday and Tuesday. The North-West businessman has previously tried to interdict a subpoena from the Commission. But the attempt failed when the High Court struck his application of the roll, subsequently compelling him to testify before the Commission. Sibahle Motha u lulamise xiviko hi Rhulani Mzamani.
