INTRO:
The South African Local Government Association (SALGA) is hosting  conference on March 3-4, 2026, in Boksburg. The conference is called "Transparency Now: Your Revenue, Our Mandate." It will last two days and focus on helping councillors (local government leaders) learn how to better manage money. The goals are to improve how they oversee revenue, find and fix problems, understand debt and credit control, and make sure officials follow financial rules. The conference also encourages honest leadership and sharing successful ideas. By the end, they hope to create plans to help local governments collect more money and be financially stable.
