(FOCUS: IEC COMMISSIONERS MET WITH ROYAL LEADERS OF SOUTH AFRICA TO ENSURE GREATER VOTER PARTICIPATION )
INTRO:
The Electoral Commission of South Africa has called on South Africans to go and vote in the upcoming Local Government Elections in November. The call came during a meeting between IEC commissioners and Royal Leaders of South Africa - ROLESA - the umbrella organisation representing kings, queens and members of royal families in South Africa. The Electoral Commission says the discussions are focused updating ROLESA on the Commission's readiness and the role traditional leaders can play to encourage greater voter participation, particularly in rural communities.
