The SABC will broadcast the address live on all its platforms.President Cyril Ramaphosa's dramatic "meltdown" at a recent ANC national executive committee (NEC) meeting was directed at deputy ministers Mondli Gungubele and Joe Phaahla who are accused of leading a plot to oust him.According to multiple NEC members who spoke on condition of anonymity, though Ramaphosa did not mention the duo by name, his fixed gaze on them as he stated, "I am aware of comrades in this very room lobbying for my removal because they are unhappy with their positions", spoke volumes.

The NGC which started on Monday will end tomorrow in Boksburg, east of Johannesburg. Yesterday, ANC president Cyril Ramaphosa called on the party to advance non-racialism through its policies. He also says the task of building a non-racial society is important in broader society. Ramaphosa was speaking during the party's 70th anniversary of the  Freedom Charter at the NGC .  INTRO:  The Polokwane Specialised Commercial Crimes Court, Limpopo has set the trial date in the corruption case against two senior Hawks officers, accused of covering political murder case in Limpopo. The  case against Captain Virginia Kupa and Brigadier Mapone Mohajane, has been postponed to the second of February for pre-trial  and trial. The two allegedly asked the investigating officer to dismiss evidence that could link former ANC MPL, Tally Mashamaite, to the murder of Mogalakwena councillor, Vaaltyn Kekana. Kekana and ANC member, Ralph Kanyane, were gunned down in what is suspected to be a politically-motivated hit in July 2019. Michael Makungo compiled and Xongani Khosa reports .....
