INTRO: The Democratic Alliance says it's ready for its Federal Congress scheduled for this weekend in Midrand north of Johannesburg. So far over two thousand delegates, most of them coming from the Western Cape and Gauteng are expected to attend. With Helen Zille and John Steenhuisen out of the race, several party members have availed themselves for the position of Federal Leader and the Federal Chairperson. A stiff competition is expected to be between the Mayor of Cape Town, Gordon Hill-Lewis, and the Sedibeng caucus leader, Sibusiso Dyonase.

This is the process that started on the 1st of this month.
