(FOCUS: AMCU PRESIDENT QUESTION THE COUNTRY'S LEGISLATIVE INTERGRITY, SAYING PARLIAMENT IS A FASHION HOUSE FOR THE ELITE)
INTRO:
Standing in the shadow of the infamous koppie - where 34 miners were gunned down over a decade ago, the Association of Mineworkers and Construction Union (AMCU) President Joseph Mathunjwa launched a blistering attack on South Africa's legislative integrity, branding Parliament as a fashion house for the elite. Mathunjwa addressed a gathering of green-clad workers at a rally in Marikana near Rustenburg in the North West on Thursday. He used the symbolic site of the 2012 massacre to declare that South Africa's democracy has become a facade.
