Gautrain spokesperson Albi Modise says theyve seen an influx in the number of delegates and visitors arriving in the country for the G20 leaders summit use their trains to connect from the OR Tambo Airport. This as the presidential G20 leaders Summit is hours away from kicking off. Modise says as volumes of dignitaries continue to surge, security will also be intensified. He says the usage of the guatrain will reduce congestion on the roads as some have been closed for the  duration of the summit.

Matirhelo ya switimela swa Gautrain hi ku langutisana na nhlengeletano ya G20 hi nomo wa Albie Modise

Limpopo's Economic Development department says that liquor outlets which have not renewed their licenses will be shut down on the 31/03/2026. Liquor license holders were given four months period - which ended to renew their licenses. Department says the license holders who have missed the deadline won't be allowed to renew but will apply afresh.

Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources has announced an increase in the price of fuel with effect from midnight tonight. Both grades of petrol will go up by three rand six cents per litre, while diesel will shoot up by between seven rand 37 and seven rand 51 per litre. Illuminating paraffin sees the highest increase on record of 11 rand 67 per litre. The latest adjustments to the fuel price come after government stepped in to cut the general fuel levy by three rand a litre for a one-month period ending on the fifth of May. This is expected to cost the fiscus around 6 billion rand in lost revenue.
