The case against two women charged in connection with the murder of Jabulile Ntimba in Villa Liza near Dawn Park, Boksburg east of Johannesburg has been postponed to October 1st for their bail application. Police initially announced that three suspects were arrested and expected to appear in court. However only Fortunate Masilela and Tsakane Nester Msithini appeared before the court. The two are facing charges of premeditated murder under Gender Based Violence and defeating the ends of justice in the murder of Ntimba, who police revealed was killed in what stems from a love triangle.

Gauteng police have arrested ten suspects and recovered nine firearms following a shootout in Cleveland, east of Johannesburg. They say the suspects opened fire on officers during a pursuit yesterday (Monday). Two suspects fled on foot, while a third was shot dead. The suspects are expected to face charges including murder, attempted murder, possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition, murder and attempted robbery. Gauteng police spokesperson Tintswalo Sibeko says the incident started when officers spotted a suspicious vehicle fitted with blue lights and a siren.
