The Evangelical Presbyterian Church of South Africa has played a significant role in developing rural communities during colonialism.
This was said at the celebration of the church's 150 years of existence in South Africa at Valdezia outside Louis Trichard in Limpopo.  
Also known as the Swiss Mission, the EPCSA has played a key role in education and health care, founding notable institutions like the Lemana Teachers Training College and the Elim Hospital.  Mixo Mashimbye spoke to General Secretary : EPCSA , Rev Tlangelani Sombhani

The Gauteng Liquor Traders Association expressed strong opposition to proposed liquor licence fee increases by the Gauteng Liquor Board, warning that the move would place additional financial strain on township-based liquor traders. The association argued that many small business owners were already battling regulatory delays, administrative red tape and rising compliance costs. It further maintained that the planned increases could threaten the sustainability of small liquor outlets across Gauteng if proper consultation and support measures were not implemented. Last year, he announced a turnaround plan to fix 13 major service delivery problems, which includes water, electricity, safety, governance and infrastructure.
