INTRO: In turning the tide against service delivery challenges across the country's municipalities, the ANC has given its councillors marching orders to implement its war plan. Speaking to journalists after the party's roll call meeting on the outcomes of the special ANC NEC this weekend, the party's secretary general, Fikile Mbalula emphasized that accountability is non- negotiable and those that fail to meet the basic standards of deliverables will be shown the door. While the ANC says it will take a firm stand against non-performing councilors, LIMPOPO PEC Member Phophi Ramathuba has echoed the sentiments. Ramathuba has called for heads to roll against representatives who are not serving their communities.
CLIP: We are going to evoke the constitution when things are not happening correctly. We are also going to go back to the ANC which deploys these councillors to say these councillors are not doing correctly. Let's work together and let's speak in one voice. When a child is not behaving both the mother and the father to discipline the child. Both the mother and the father must work together to discipline the child. There is way where the councillors will run to the premier, will run to the anc. We are working very closely with the African national congress, and we want things to happen. Our people want water."
