INTRO: The United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres has expressed regret at the White House decision to withdraw from a number of U.N. entities. This after the United States announced its withdrawal from 66 multilateral organizations, 31 linked to the U.N. system that the U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio described as redundant in their scope, poorly run and that threaten the sovereignty, freedoms and general prosperity of the United States. The U.N. Chief, through his spokesperson, said all U.N. entities would go on with the implementation of their mandates as given by Member States.
