The African Union has suspended the nation of Gabon from all its activities following a coup d'etat by the military on Wednesday.The coup was triggered by the controversial re-election of President Ali Bongo Ondimba, who has been in power since 2009, succeeding his father who ruled for 42 years.The coup leaders have detained President Ondimba as his residence and plan to install Gen Bric Nguema as the interim president
