Speaker Johnson Reacts to the Aircraft Tragedy in DC

View descriptionShare

U.S. House Speaker MIKE JOHNSON (R-LA) weighs-in on the tragic plane/helicopter collision over Washington Reagan Airport that killed all aboard; Speaker Johnson says suggestions that the airport be permanently closed are “absurd” and declares his confidence in PRESIDENT TRUMP and new Cabinet members like Transportation Secretary SEAN DUFFY being “vocal and assertive in their approach to making all air traffic safer.”

Also, retired Brigadier General JOHN TEICHERT joins us to explain how and why military missions are flown close to Reagan Airport; Congressman SCOTT PERRY (R-PA)—a member of the House Transportation Committee—promises to “get out the truth about this tragic crash whether or not it makes any agency look bad.”

And TONY PERKINS’s commentary calls for an immediate ban on mail-order abortion pills due to serious risks to women.  All that and more on the latest edition of THIS WEEK ON CAPITOL HILL.
