SEGMENT #2: Cherry Valley Library Scarecrows on Parade

In this segment, Sue and Zarea of the Cherry Valley Library outline this year’s annual Scarecrows on Parade event running thru November 1st throughout Cherry Valley. Anyone can vote at CherryValleyLib.org and for a dollar or more donation, they can vote for the winning scarecrow designed by local businesses and families. All proceeds support local reading programs. In addition to the Scarecrows on Parade, Programs which are supported are outlined.

SEGMENT #3: Rockford Mayor Tom McNamara

In this segment, Rockford Mayor Tom McNamara outlines the selection process for naming the new Rockford Fire Department Chief Rebecca Tyo. He also explains the return of The Commercial Corridor Program for the city to award cash for investments in the business sector. He also outlines and encourages people to attend the Mayor’s Hunger Luncheon which raises money strictly for local food banks.
