SEGMENT #1: 44th Annual Northern Illinois Police Memorial Week 

Detective Lisa Hodges outlines the events planned for Police Week this Saturday and Sunday, May 18th thru the 19th at The CherryVale Mall. The event is free and there will be K-9 Demos, Bomb Robots, Squad Cars, face painting, questions and answer sessions and “Pictures With A Cop” opportunities The event happens during CherryVale Mall hours.


SEGMENT #2: Carrie Johnson of Rockford Art Museum and Mary McNamara Bernsten of Rockford Area Arts Council

Carrie Johnson and Mary McNamara Bernsten discuss the upcoming Flower Flash Mobs at Art locations in town through June 12th promoting art and the Art Museums Fashion in Bloom Event June 12th at Union in downtown Rockford. Carrie discusses the Museums closing for repairs and Mary outlines the success of Spring Scape and outlines a few events ahead. In addition, the panel outlines the importance of Art in developing Rockford. 

SEGMENT #3: RKFD Park District Communications Coordinator Laura Gibbs Green 

Everything the Rockford Park District has available as Spring and Summer roll into play are touched on such as ways to get outdoors and enjoy Park District facilities are covered. In addition, Golfing, Sportscore and bike paths  are touched upon. Also, the new Levings Unity Pavilion is touched upon. May is Mental Health Awareness, highlights also include what the Park District is doing to help health.
