In this segment, Executive Director Karen Carlson outlines this year’s 5K Dash for Down Syndrome event at Roscoe Middle School Saturday, April 25th starting at 9am. The show outlines how to sign up, where the proceeds from the event go, and how you can participate virtually without even running to raise donations to keep GiGi’s services for over 450 families in 5 counties running for 2026.  


SEGMENT #2: Rockford Art Museum Executive Director Carrie Johnson

April brings a full schedule of events at The Rockford Art Museum. Executive Director and Chief Currator Carrie Johnson outlines the who, what, where and when about the museum, the upcoming Young Artists Show for K-8 years of age, and the always popular 10th Annual Art in Bloom event April 15th thru the 20th.  RockfordArtMuseum.ORG for more.


SEGMENT #3: Northern Illinois Food Bank Chris and Katie


April thru May 3rd is the 13th Annual "Fight Hunger, Spark Change" for the Northern Illinois Food Bank at Walmart and Sam’s Club. Directors Chris and Katie outline the need in the area for food, the way customers can donate at area Walmart’s and Sam’s Club. In 2025 over $200,000 raised for food supplies and to help neighbors in need. NIFB supplies multiple food pantries and soup kitchens in the Stateline.
