Thirty two percent of First Nations people have personally experienced racism, hostility or negative treatment on January 26th, according to a nationally representative YouGov poll.

Commissioned by Australian social enterprise Clothing the Gaps and Future Super, the poll is a part of a wider campaign calling on the government to move the Survival Day public holiday from its fixed date of January 26th.

This comes amid the three-month-long federal Inquiry into racism, hate and violence directed at Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
