NSW Legalises Human Composting

Earlier this afternoon, the NSW Parliament's Legislative Council voted to allow natural organic reduction or the composting of human remains - formally referred to as Terramation in the bill - as a way to dispose of bodies after death. Along with options like natural burials and water cremation, it's one of several innovative and ecological approaches to deathcare receiving increasing attention as people think about how to live and die in sustainable and meaningful ways.
