The current Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) has been recorded as the second-biggest Ebola epidemic and is moving faster than any previous Ebola outbreak. It is said to be on track to eclipse the 2014-2016 West African epidemic, the largest Ebola outbreak ever recorded, infecting more than 28,600 people.
