The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) says it has released private accommodation payments to universities as part of efforts to stabilise the student housing payment system. The scheme says more than 100,000 students have benefited from three major disbursements this quarter, while engagements continue with accommodation providers to resolve outstanding payment and verification challenges.
