The inquest into the death of Anele Tembe resumes today, with six witnesses expected to take the stand at the Cape Town Magistrates’ Court. Tembe died in April 2021 after falling from the Pepperclub Hotel in Cape Town, while she was in a relationship with rapper AKA. Almost three years later, AKA himself was fatally shot — and now, as this inquest resumes, more questions surrounding Tembe’s death are back in the spotlight.
