Gauteng’s nurses have had enough. The Democratic Nursing Organisation of South Africa is giving the provincial Health Department until next month to tackle crippling staff shortages, cut down on acting management positions and address deteriorating health infrastructure. That’s a lot to fix in a very short space of time — so, what happens if the government doesn’t deliver?
