Big Mix

Siphamandla Mnqayi, popularly known as Chef DJ, brings his energy to the Big Breakfast Mix this morning. At just 25, the Empangeni born DJ and producer has already come a long way since a cousin introduced him to house music at the age of 12, starting out on iCora FM in 2014 and winning the Rock EMP competition hosted by House of Shaka, which opened doors to collaborations with established artists.

A Studio Work diploma graduate from Central Johannesburg College, Chef DJ secured a distribution deal with Africori and released several singles, as well as his EP Zamokuhle, which has racked up over 56,000 streams across digital platforms. Now building a name in Johannesburg’s entertainment scene for his energetic performances and ability to connect with a crowd, this is a talent to watch. Turn it up.
