She has worked with thousands of families for over 18 years as a childbirth educator and counsellor, and in 2014 developed a program for secondary schools that addresses relationships, sexuality, and wellbeing with honesty and humour. The initiative has been rolled out in schools throughout Melbourne and has spawned The Connection Program: a series of workshops for teenagers that explore all components of puberty, sexuality, relationships and sense of self.
