What is consciousness? From where does it arise? The brain? Some of it? All of it? Where does the brain finish and the mind begin? Is there a place where the mushy physical bit intersects with the non-physical bit? And what’s the difference between consciousness and awareness? Can you imagine looking inside someone’s skull (literally), operating on their brain and having a conversation with that person at the same time! Well, that’s a reality for Alex and to me, that shit is truly amazing. Anyway, the good Doc (let’s be accurate...
