On the Tuesday, September 22 edition of White House Briefing Room, Jon Decker reports on the escalating battle between President Donald Trump and the White House press corps after major television networks suspended their participation in presidential TV pool coverage.

The extraordinary move follows the White House decision to bar CNN, MS NOW and Politico from White House access. The three news organizations have filed a federal lawsuit challenging the ban on First Amendment and due process grounds, while CNN, Fox News, ABC, CBS and NBC have suspended their participation in the television pool covering the president.

Jon also reports on President Trump’s meeting with New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, rising diesel and gasoline prices and a new Reuters/Ipsos poll showing Trump’s approval rating at 32 percent, the lowest measured during his political career.

Plus, a preview of President Trump’s packed schedule at the United Nations General Assembly, including meetings with international leaders as wars overseas and rising energy costs remain major issues at home.
