President's Schedule for Wednesday

On the Wednesday, September 23 edition of White House Briefing Room, Jon Decker reports on President Donald Trump’s address to the United Nations General Assembly, where Trump portrayed himself as a peacemaker while warning Iran that the United States could take further military action if a peace agreement is not reached. Trump also predicted that Iran could eventually reach a deal with the United States over its nuclear program.

Jon also breaks down the new security agreement signed by the United States, Denmark and Greenland. The agreement expands the potential U.S. military presence in Greenland while reaffirming Danish sovereignty and Greenland’s right to self-determination. The agreement is aimed at strengthening Arctic and North Atlantic security and could pave the way for additional U.S. bases on the strategically important island.

Plus, the legal battle over White House press access intensifies as CNN, MS NOW and Politico seek to have their access restored. The Trump administration argues that White House access is a privilege and has cited national-security concerns, while the news organizations argue that the ban violates their constitutional rights.

And Jon reports on calls from Republican senators for the Senate Judiciary Committee to investigate Donald Trump Jr.’s business dealings and gifts reportedly connected to a Russian businessman.
