Margaret Handel from the Class of 2017 graduated with a degree in economics. However, she was not looking for a 9-to-5 job. Hearing about the U.S. Merchant Marines while at Hillsdale, she decided to continue her education, graduating from the Great Lakes Maritime Academy and becoming an officer in the Merchant Marines.
