A woman was rushed to hospital after being struck by a car outside the popular Queens Hotel in Highgate late Sunday night.

Police were called to the horror crash about 10.53pm after a 26-year-old woman was hit by a Mitsubishi Lancer being driven south along Beaufort Street.

It is believed the woman was crossing the road outside the hotel when she was struck.

Emergency services rushed to the crash site, with paramedics conveying the woman under priority to Royal Perth Hospital.

Police said the woman received serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Parts of the busy Beaufort Street were blocked off by police while they investigated the scene.
