Wildcats LEGEND opens up on Tiny Pinder scandal

View descriptionShare

The late 80s and 90s seemed to be a time when basketball was everywhere. Michael Jordan was everywhere, and here in WA, basketball fever came in the form of the Perth Wildcats.

They’re known as the original WA sporting franchise - and they were good. Very good.

One name that’s synonymous with the Wildcats is Tiny Pinder. He helped take the Wildcats to championship after championship in the early 90s.

But there was a darker side to the star athlete, which has been investigated by the West in their new documentary series.

One of the people who was there during The Wildcats heyday, and a moment that shocked WA  was former captain Mike Ellis, and he joins the show to exlpain his involvement in the new documentary by The West.

Tiny Pinder is currently facing trial in NSW so we’re legally not allowed to delve into those issues - but we strongly recommend watching the documentary.
