Deputy Editor of PerthNow Local Newspapers Jake Dietsch talks what an investigation by PerthNow Local papers have revealed.
From people wielding knives to urinating in public, anti-social behaviour at Beaufort Street’s Weld Square continues to be “wild, out of control and unmanageable”, according to people who live and work around it.
Weld Square is surrounded by a bustling hub of businesses and hospitality venues but it is also occupied day and night by some of the State’s most vulnerable people without a place to call home.
Three business owners and a resident who lives in an apartment opposite Weld Square told PerthNow this week that anti-social behaviour at the park was still a huge issue.
