WA’s mystery Powerball jackpot winner — one of three in Australia to split the record $160m — is from a regional area, it has been revealed.

Set to take home a cool $53m, the owner of the single ticket entry is not registered on the Lotterywest Player’s Registration Service.

Lotterywest say they are still waiting to hear from the division one winner. The other two winning tickets were sold in NSW and Victoria.

While there will be lots of disappointed people still having to turn up to work on Friday, there are 24 other West Australian players thanking their lucky lotto, having won more than $77,000 in division two of Thursday night’s draw.

The division two winning tickets were sold at Michael’s Health Care Chemist in Wembley, Northam Central Newsagency, Eaton Fair Lottery Kiosk and online.
