More than a dozen WA Police officers have been stood down accused of failing to comply with the State’s COVID-19 vaccine mandates.

The WA Police Union confirmed on Monday night that 16 WA police officers had been stood down after they failed to get their third COVID-19 jab before the mandatory deadline but continued to work.

It’s understood the officers will face disciplinary action for defying the law in place at the time.

The State’s vaccine mandates came to an end just three days ago, allowing most of WA’s unvaccinated workforce to return to their place of employment.
