Australia’s most popular baby names have been revealed, with a new top girls’ name for the first time in seven years.

Isla has officially knocked Charlotte off the top spot, while Oliver held steady as the most popular boys’ name for the ninth consecutive year.

Millennial parents of Generation Alpha (born in or after 2010) are still looking for unique girls’ names, but are relying on more traditional names for boys.
