Stirling councillor CHARGED by police

A City of Stirling councillor has been arrested by WA Police for allegedly possessing child abuse material.

Officers from the joint anti-child exploitation team went to Councillor Keith Sargent’s Mirrabooka home this morning and seized electronic devices which police allege contained the material.

The 44-year-old has faced Perth Magistrates court today charged with two counts of possessing child exploitation material and has been granted bail.
