Hollywood’s night of nights, the Academy Awards, takes place on Monday morning Australian time and a pair of Perth filmmakers will be walking the red carpet in Los Angeles with the biggest celebrities on the planet. 

Rick Grigsby and Dave McDonnell’s Northbridge based visual effects company Last Pixel, have been recognised for their amazing work on the short film Please Hold which has been nominated for the Oscar for the Best Live Action Short. They’re about to get on a plane this morning to Tinseltown, but we’ve managed to get Dave McDonnell on the phone before he goes to the airport
